encouraging girls to be ballers
Dick’s Sporting Goods partnered with Nike, WNBA and other sports influencers to to encourage young girls to get back into sports, especially during Covid-19. Girls are invited to come onto the court to play and engage with WNBA talent as well as influencers. The event featured workshops and other activations such as customizable gear, Nike shoe giveaways, and a hoop bus. As the program progressed, so did it’s branding and ideas of what can be included. This event is to push girls ages 8-18 to work with athletes & push their skills while empowering them to get back out on the court and play. Social posts were handed to influencers to spread the word for each location. The event was full of different activations, games, and clinics. This project also gave me a fun opportunity to create the track for the video. The sound design blended the main song with other basketball sounds to highlight certain beats and further enhance the storytelling behind the motion.
